Firestopping Services
Third-party accredited passive fire protection delivered by trained in-house operatives

Adman Int provides certified firestopping services to housing associations, local authorities, healthcare providers and main contractors. We are certified under Q-Mark Fire Stopping Installation to STD 05b for all firestopping categories. Works delivered by our in-house team are always done in accordance with manufacturer instructions, tested systems and relevant British Standards, ensuring the integrity of fire compartments is fully maintained.
Penetration Sealing
Penetration sealing is carried out to maintain the fire resistance of walls and floors where services such as pipework, cabling, ductwork and conduits pass through compartment lines. This includes the installation of certified systems such as fire collars, wraps, sleeves, ablative coated batt systems, fire-rated mortars and intumescent sealants, all installed strictly in accordance with tested and approved details. All works are delivered in compliance with the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004, supported by the guidance set out in Scottish Technical Handbook – Domestic and Non-Domestic (Fire), ensuring the original fire performance of the compartment is fully reinstated.
Linear Joint Sealing
Linear joint sealing addresses gaps and movement joints between walls, floors, ceilings and structural elements where fire and smoke could otherwise spread. Adman Int installs certified linear gap seals, fire-rated mastics and compression systems designed to accommodate both static and dynamic movement while maintaining the required fire resistance. All installations follow manufacturer instructions, tested system details and the requirements of the Scottish Technical Handbooks (Fire) to ensure long-term performance, durability and full regulatory compliance.
Cavity Barriers
Cavity barriers are essential in preventing the unseen spread of fire and smoke within concealed voids such as wall cavities, roof spaces, service risers and ceiling voids. Our works include the installation of rigid and flexible cavity barriers, fire barriers, fire blankets and associated firestopping systems within cavities, ensuring correct positioning, continuity and integrity of compartment lines. Installations are carried out in line with the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004 and the relevant guidance contained within the Scottish Technical Handbooks – Fire, with careful coordination to prevent gaps, compression failures or breaches.
